I'm A Winner!

As you know, dear readers, I'm on the internet a lot. I use it all day for work, and I often participate in numerous extracurricular online activities. As someone who has a personal blog, a Twitter account, a Tumblr blog, a Facebook profile, a YouTube channel, a Spotify account, a Flickr photostream and a Flavors.me account, this is obvious. But I finally reaped some actual physical benefits to obsessively hitting that refresh button everyday: I won concert tickets AND free movies for a year. Back to back.

Words Are OK. Pictures Are Better!

It's a weekend summary! Friday, April 22 and Saturday, April 23 in photo form! Featuring Jenny Owen Youngs, R. Crumb artwork, Brooklyn hilarity and Manhattan yummyness.

Weezer's Memories Tour

Last December, I went and saw Weezer perform live in NYC at the Roseland Ballroom. (Better late than never, amirite?! Sigh.) What made their "Memories Tour" so awesome was that they played two nights back-to-back at each location, playing a greatest hits set both shows, and the complete Blue Album the first night, and Pinkerton the second.

Don't Let the Sun Go Down On Me

Hey, I ain't dead! Holy Toledo, where does the time go? This entry has a video in it, so it's totally worth the wait! And even if it's not, whatever.

Fun Is Afoot

So some cool stuff has been happening lately, or has been scheduled to happen. Let's discuss.

I Met Ted Leo!

So I started writing up a big ole, "hey, this is what's been going on in my life!" recap post, but then I met Ted Leo last night so that got shot to hell.

Please Pass the Milk, Please

Today, I got to see They Might Be Giants live! Twice! For free! I'm not a huge They Might Be Giants fan, but I find all of their songs very, very enjoyable, and I know all the words to "Istanbul (Not Constantinople)," thanks to watching Tiny Toon Adventures in my youth. (This also earned me some cred in my 9th grade World History class.)
