Russia
Oh so, I totally went to Russia this summer. It was pretty sweet.
I'm A Winner!
As you know, dear readers, I'm on the internet a lot. I use it all day for work, and I often participate in numerous extracurricular online activities. As someone who has a personal blog, a Twitter account, a Tumblr blog, a Facebook profile, a YouTube channel, a Spotify account, a Flickr photostream and a Flavors.me account, this is obvious. But I finally reaped some actual physical benefits to obsessively hitting that refresh button everyday: I won concert tickets AND free movies for a year. Back to back.
The 365 Photo Project
In an effort to keep some sort of routine and embrace personal & achievable goals, I'm participating in the 365 Photo Project. You take a photo a day for one year. Easy right? Wrong.
Red State at Radio City
Back in March, Joe & I went to a screening of Kevin Smith's newest film, Red State at Radio City Music Hall. The last time I was in Radio City it was to see the Rockettes so this was a very different experience, to say the least.
Words Are OK. Pictures Are Better!
It's a weekend summary! Friday, April 22 and Saturday, April 23 in photo form! Featuring Jenny Owen Youngs, R. Crumb artwork, Brooklyn hilarity and Manhattan yummyness.
Tips For Surviving a Con
I am a veteran of three NY Comic Cons, one Saturday Nightmares horror/sci-fi convention, and one PAX East. Based on my experiences, I have some suggestions on how to survive a con!
16 and Pregnant
16 & pregnant, that's me! (Not at all.) (But I play the part well.) (I'm a natural.)
In Defense of Foursquare
I've already defended Twitter in the past; now it's time for me to plead the case for an even more seemingly-useless social networking service: Foursquare.
PAX East!
The follow post is a brief recap of my time at PAX East – a video game convention held in Boston, MA. Organized by the guys that do Penny Arcade, this con features all sorts of games – card games, D&D, video games (classic & upcoming) – as well as panels and concerts with a nerdy slant. Cosplaying abounds, of course. This was my first PAX, but probably not my last. (FYI: The following was written originally for Gaming Chronicles.)
Weezer's Memories Tour
Last December, I went and saw Weezer perform live in NYC at the Roseland Ballroom. (Better late than never, amirite?! Sigh.) What made their "Memories Tour" so awesome was that they played two nights back-to-back at each location, playing a greatest hits set both shows, and the complete Blue Album the first night, and Pinkerton the second.
