I happened to start a blog at the worst possible time: when work gets so busy that I want to be at my computer as little as possible.
I have this thing, called a conscience, I guess. My conscience won't allow me to blog when I'm at work. Which is 9am-5pm (or later), like for most normal people. So, by the time work is over, I slam my laptop closed with much force and head out of my house, usually never spending any more quality time in my room until Sunday night. And then the cycle begins anew. Do you see the time to blog? Me neither!
And I mean, I usually do fun stuff on the weekends. I go out with friends. I go out with my boyfriend. I eat places. (Yes, entire buildings!) I see movies. I do stuff. Stuff happens. But more often than not, I don't blog about all these things since they all happen on the weekend and I don't seriously touch my computer until work on Monday.
But, some stuff is coming up that should — and will be! — blogged about:
- redecorating my room (this is epic, and 6 years overdue) and my zombie portraits,
- getting my wisdom teeth taken out (I will be relying on my mother and Joe to write down all Valium-and-other-medication-induced-hilarity), and
- the quintessential suburban yard sale.
You'll notice that one thing isn't on that list, despite taking up most of my time: work.
I'm going to be super busy for the next few weeks. My insanity and freakouts regarding work would be great to unload on my blog, right? It's my blog and I'll bitch if I want to! But everyone knows you shouldn't blog about work if you don't want to get dooced. Good thing I like being quiet and absorbing things. (Generally. Sometimes my Twitter bears the brunt of my high-strung anxiety.) So while work is intense, interesting and takes up most of my time, it's not something I'd blog all that much about in detail. Sure, I'll brag about my ever-expanding Photoshop skills and Drupal knowledge, but that's about it, which is probably best in terms of sharing work details.
Also, when your boss is the one you turned to to get your blog up and running, the dooce threat seems seemingly less.

Work
I guess I don't have a conscience; as you may have noticed this comment appears during working hours on a Tuesday. Whoops.
Though I suspect you're far busier than I and wouldn't have time to check the 'net even if you wanted to.... right?

Poor, Neglected Blog
I saw Zombieland on Friday, and the yard sale was Sunday, and I still haven't had time to blog about either! I haven't even been here on ginacrat since I posted this entry! Sad times. I must make time to blog! And my brain took a beating recently so my conscience is more like, 10:35am? Perfect time to comment! Hah.
